New Forest Aikido is part of Takemusu Iwama Aikido Europe and as such teaches according to the Founder Morihei Ueshiba and was passed onto Saito Sensei, his longest serving student for 24 years.
Aikido is a self defence system that does not rely on strength, instead by using your attacker's motion it is possible to redirect this aggression and neutralise the attack. Therefore, unlike many martial arts, Aikido is suitable for men and women of any age. So come and join in a friendly atmosphere at Ringwood Recreation Centre and benefit from increased awareness, fitness and confidence that a complete self defence martial art can give you.
